It is finally fall and time to get the front porch decorated for the season.  Here’s some of the ideas I used for getting the front porch ready for fall.

So, I headed out this morning to find pumpkins, mums and pillows.  I was able to find these cute pillows at Dollar General for $10 each.  I think they are the perfect fit for my fall porch.

My local Harp’s had some small pumpkins, not the mini ones but ones that are called pie pumpkins.  I decided to use small ones instead of buying a couple of big ones.  I saw this idea somewhere and I thought it was a neat idea.  The small pumpkins look so good clumped on top of this vintage basket but it still needed something so I made a bow out of plaid fabric that I had on hand.

Harp’s also had many beautiful mums in all colors.  It took me awhile to decide.  I chose the vibrant yellows in the smaller size so these were less than $5 each.  The black pots needed covered so I used canvas bags, slit them down the side and the pots fit right in them.  And a jute string tied around adds the finishing touches.  Here’s how I covered the black pot on the mums.

I made this sunflower wreath a few years ago but I use it every Fall.  It’s a straw wreath form with fabric wrapped around it.  Then I added the sunflowers to it. Quick video to make the fabric covered wreath.

This is just a few simple ideas for getting your front porch ready for fall.  Be creative and add your personal touches.  Have fun and enjoy the Fall!
